Broad Ripple Mixed-Use Project

A dense urban village project has been approved for properties on the southwest corner of Westfield Boulevard and Winthrop Avenue. Several aging Broad Ripple structures are part of the plan by John Pantzer and partners to bring office space and an upscale eatery to the Village. A three-story office building will replace a structure on Winthrop most recently occupied by a hookah bar. That building will be integrated into the former Broad Ripple Steakhouse building, which has been empty for years. A complete upgrade of that structure will add contemporary character. City staff was won over by the proposed landscaping improvements along Winthrop as well as the addition of much-needed office space to the Broad Ripple mix. Construction is expected to begin in spring.
