In response to the public health emergency, The Library Coffee Bar is closed until further notice.
Adding to Midtown’s growing number of “third places” is the Indianapolis Art Center’s Ruth Lilly Library, which has been rebranded as The Library Coffee Bar. The expansive space, which has been used for many public and private events through the years, has been redecorated with work tables, child-friendly reading stations, and a mixture of seating. In partnership with BRICS, an array of hot and cold beverages and light snacks are available. Conveniently located steps away from both the Red Line 66th St. station and the Monon Trail, the Library Coffee Bar will benefit not only visitors but also Art Center staff, faculty, and students. According to IAC president and CEO Patrick Flaherty, the goal is to create an attractive atmosphere. “We hope more people discover their new go-to workspace and ultimately fall in love with the center and our mission to inspire creative expression in people of all ages,” he said.
