Local artists working with neighborhood groups can now apply for new city funding earmarked for public art.

City-County Councilor John Barth’s proposal to make an adjustment to the Public Art for Neighborhoods Program has been adopted and established Community Connection Grants.

These “rapid cycle” grants support the work of artists leading projects in their own communities during the pandemic.

Artists, in partnership with neighborhood groups, can apply anytime on/or before May 28, 2021 for projects that will be completed by September 6, 2021. Apply at the Arts Council of Indianapolis website.
