November 8

On November 7, the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) reported 4,689 new cases. ISDH also reports a 9.5%  7-day positivity rate with a 6.2% cumulative rate. In his Sept. 24 announcement that Indiana would move to Phase 5 of the Back On Track Indiana plan, Governor Holcomb cited a sustained positivity rate below 5% as the rationale for relaxing COVID-19 restrictions. A total of 210,374 Hoosiers have tested presumptively positive for COVID-19 – a number that includes results from ISDH and results submitted by private laboratories. Approximately 3,210,666 tests have been administered. Additionally, ISDH notes that 4.348 Hoosiers have succumbed to the disease. Daily updates are posted to the ISDH COVID-19 online dashboard.

November 7

On November 6, the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) once again reported a record number of new cases: 5,007. ISDH also reports a 9%  7-day positivity rate with a 6.2% cumulative rate. In his Sept. 24 announcement that Indiana would move to Phase 5 of the Back On Track Indiana plan, Governor Holcomb cited a sustained positivity rate below 5% as the rationale for relaxing COVID-19 restrictions. A total of 200,823 Hoosiers have tested presumptively positive for COVID-19 – a number that includes results from ISDH and results submitted by private laboratories. Approximately 3,116,518 tests have been administered. Additionally, ISDH notes that 4.348 Hoosiers have succumbed to the disease. Daily updates are posted to the ISDH COVID-19 online dashboard.

November 5

On November 4, the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) reported a record number of new cases: 4,462. ISDH also reports a 8.8%  7-day positivity rate with a 6.1% cumulative rate. In his Sept. 24 announcement that Indiana would move to Phase 5 of the Back On Track Indiana plan, Governor Holcomb cited a sustained positivity rate below 5% as the rationale for relaxing COVID-19 restrictions. A total of 196,176 Hoosiers have tested presumptively positive for COVID-19 – a number that includes results from ISDH and results submitted by private laboratories. November 4

On Election Day, November 3, the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) reported a record number of new cases: 3,756. ISDH also reports a 8.7%  7-day positivity rate with a 6.0% cumulative rate. In his Sept. 24 announcement that Indiana would move to Phase 5 of the Back On Track Indiana plan, Governor Holcomb cited a sustained positivity rate below 5% as the rationale for relaxing COVID-19 restrictions. A total of 191,764 Hoosiers have tested presumptively positive for COVID-19 – a number that includes results from ISDH and results submitted by private laboratories. November 3

On November 2, the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) reported 2,951 new cases. ISDH also reports a 8.4%  7-day positivity rate with a 6.0% cumulative rate. In his Sept. 24 announcement that Indiana would move to Phase 5 of the Back On Track Indiana plan, Governor Holcomb cited a sustained positivity rate below 5% as the rationale for relaxing COVID-19 restrictions. A total of 186,066 Hoosiers have tested presumptively positive for COVID-19 – a number that includes results from ISDH and results submitted by private laboratories. November 2

In today’s Situation Report [PDF], the Marion County Health Department reports, “The 7-day average positivity rate of all COVID-19 tests sent to the Indiana Department of Health has seen sharp increase in the past week (10/19/2020: 6.9%; 10/26/2020: 8.2%). The cumulative percent positive for all cases and test results increased to 10.7% as of 10/26/2020.” On November 1, the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) reports 3,080 new cases were recorded. ISDH reports a 8.2%  7-day positivity rate with a 6.0% cumulative rate. In his Sept. 24 announcement that Indiana would move to Phase 5 of the Back On Track Indiana plan, Governor Holcomb cited a sustained positivity rate below 5% as the rationale for relaxing COVID-19 restrictions. A total of 185,185 Hoosiers have tested presumptively positive for COVID-19 – a number that includes results from ISDH and results submitted by private laboratories. The rise in new cases of COVID-19 continues. The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) reports 2,787 new cases were recorded for October 31. ISDH reports a 8.1%  7-day positivity rate with a 5.9% cumulative rate. In his Sept. 24 announcement that Indiana would move to Phase 5 of the Back On Track Indiana plan, Governor Holcomb cited a sustained positivity rate below 5% as the rationale for relaxing COVID-19 restrictions. A total of 182,108 Hoosiers have tested presumptively positive for COVID-19 – a number that includes results from ISDH and results submitted by private laboratories.
