Creative Cafe is Coming

A co-working and event/performance space proposal for the Kheprw Institute, 3549 Boulevard Place, is moving forward thanks to a successful $30,000 crowdfunding effort. Dubbed the Creative Cafe, the space will host performances by local artists and discussions of critical issues including  healthy food, public transportation, affordable housing, and equitable community development. Because the campaign was part of the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority’s CreatINg Places matching grant program, an additional $30,000 will be added to the project. “We are excited about the possibilities!” said Pambana Uishi, Kheprw Institute co-founder. “This is a great opportunity to engage the gifts and talents of the community’s creatives in communicating the change we want to see in the world and working to make it a reality.”
