Ten projects were awarded provisional matching grants by the City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works (DPW) on March 10 including one in Midtown. Rocky Ripple Community Association will partner with DPW to resurface Canal Boulevard between 54th and 53rd streets. This project will improve the access for homes along the Central Canal in Rocky Ripple. The narrow lane also serves as part of the Central Canal Towpath greenway and serves lots of people on bikes, running or walking. As per the terms of the grant program, Rocky Ripple will have to raise matching funds. See the full list here.
