The City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works will host a public open house from 5:30 – 7 p.m. on September 8 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 6050 North Meridian Street. Masks will be required for all attendees regardless of vaccination status.

The public is being asked to review proposals for Broad Ripple Avenue improvements between College Ave. and Primrose Avenue and offer comments. Among the proposed upgrades to the corridor are wider sidewalks, planted medians, bollards, raised crosswalks and other pedestrian safety infrastructure. The streetscape improvements are one element of long-overdue drainage work in the busy thoroughfare. The overall project will also include construction of the Broad Ripple Riverwalk, a separated multi-use trail that will connect Broad Ripple Park with the Monon Trail.
