On Wednesday, Sept. 15, Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) firefighters had a busy night responding to three intentionally set fires within a 2.1 mile radius – including one in Midtown. An abandoned house near 38th and Kenwood in the Crown Hill neighborhood was destroyed. The two-story structure required 12 IFD units as well as one Pike Township unit to battle the blaze which caused slight exterior damage to an adjacent home to the south. There was no damage to any other neighboring structures. IFD/IMPD Fire Investigations have ruled all of the fires arson and asks anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
