The Kessler Boulevard West Drive bridge over White River will be closed for up to two weeks for a water main installation.

The bridge has been partially closed with two-way traffic maintained on southern traffic lanes. During the next phase, however, all lanes will be closed and traffic will be detoured.

According to the Indianapolis Department of Public Works, eastbound traffic will be routed north on Grandview Drive, east on West 73rd Street and Meridian Hills Boulevard and south on Meridian Street to rejoin Kessler Boulevard East Drive.

Westbound traffic will be routed to Meridian Street north, then west on Meridian Hills Boulevard and West 73rd Street and south on Grandview Drive to rejoin Kessler.

Although two-way traffic across the Kessler Bridge will be restored after the water main work, lane restrictions will continue until late 2022 as other work continues.

Traffic in the area will also be affected by the Crows Nest Neighborhood Drainage Project, which will limit lanes at Crows Nest Drive and Fox Hill Drive through at least mid-July.
