On Sunday, March 22, Indianapolis Fire Department units were dispatched at 7:22 a.m. to a working residence fire at 5247 Norwaldo Ave. They arrived to see smoke showing from the south side window of the single story structure. Entry teams found fire on the first floor with several holes in the floor and at 7:27 a.m. located the victim, an adult white male, who was pronounced deceased on the scene. Standard operating procedure required calling IMPD Homicide.
