Community Conversations About Race and Reconciliation

Spirit & Place sponsors a community discussion series :

Sunday, August 12, Contemporary Perspectives on Race and Racial Violence: 3-5 p.m. at MLK Center, 40 W. 40th Street. A humanities-based approach to reflect upon The Charleston Syllabus that invites participants to share in facilitated  conversations on both historical and contemporary issues surrounding race. Learn more and RSVP at Powerful Conversation on Race will resume its standard “2nd Sunday” format at the MLK Center (40 W. 40th Street) on July 8. Funding provided by Indiana Humanities in cooperation with the National Endowment for the Humanities’ “Legacy of Race and Ethnicity initiative,” and The Indianapolis Foundation, a CICF affiliate. Project partners include Child Advocates and IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI.
