National Crime Victims’ Rights awareness celebration at MLK Center – April 11 

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week will be observed April 8 – 14. The theme — Expand the Circle: Reach All Victims —emphasizes the importance of inclusion of all victims in providing services and support..

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will sponsor an event at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the MLK Center, 40 W. 40th Street. Resource booths will include information from the Prosecutor’s Office victim advocates and partner agencies. A brief presentation with remarks by Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry and representatives from IMPD and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office will begin at 5:30 p.m. A National Crime Victims’ Rights Week commemorative giveaway will be available for the first 40 attendees.
