Potholes

The freeze/thaw cycle is brutal on Indy streets. Between snow events, City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works (DPW) crews are working to fill potholes within four days of being reported.

On January 25, DPW crews will be patching in the 5800 block of Norwaldo. According to DPW, crews are using cold patch, a temporary fix designed to repair potholes until warmer weather returns and asphalt plants reopen. In the spring and summer months, these potholes can be filled with more permanent hot asphalt patch or DPW may resurface particularly pothole-covered City streets.

DPW encourages drivers to report potholes:
