
Effective Wednesday, November 4, The Indianapolis Public Library locations that currently offer Sunday service will temporarily discontinue Sunday hours. Additionally, all locations will shift Tuesday hours to Noon to 8 p.m. Library leadership made the decision in an effort to ease cross-location staffing concerns due to COVID-19 and to identify an adjustment that would be least disruptive for patrons.
Affected Midtown locations include the InfoZone at The Children’s Museum, and the Glendale Branch.
Effective November 4, revised hours of service for all libraries will be:
Monday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Tuesday: Noon – 8 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.*
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.*
Sunday Closed
*Central Library will close at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Curbside pickup will continue to be offered daily (except Sundays) at all open locations from Noon – 5 p.m. Details at the INDYPL website.
