PURPLE LINE CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The Purple Line’s first major traffic impact will begin on or after March 7, on 38th Street from Fall Creek Parkway to Orchard Avenue and last 10 days. Eastbound traffic on 38th Street will be detoured via Fall Creek Parkway and Keystone Avenue. Westbound traffic will be detoured via Keystone Avenue, 46th Street and College Avenue. This closure will be immediately followed by a 130-day eastbound closure on 38th Street from Fall Creek Parkway to Keystone Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Fall Creek Parkway and Keystone Avenue. Westbound traffic in this stretch will not be impacted. Local access to all residences and businesses will be maintained during both closures.
MIDTOWN CONSTRUCTION IMPACTS
38th Street: College Avenue to Fall Creek Parkway
- The outside lane of eastbound 38th Street between the Monon Trail to just east of Coliseum Avenue will remain closed for roadway widening. South of 38th Street, Coliseum to Fairfield Avenue remains closed.
- The outside lane of westbound 38th Street between just west of Fall Creek Parkway to Woodland Avenue will continue.
- Please note, worksite speed limit is 25 mph.
